Do I still need a Foundry VTT license?
Yes. ArcaneDesk does not redistribute Foundry itself. During first setup you will use your own Foundry account to complete official acquisition and license activation.
Will you save my model API key?
No. Both model and speech services are BYOK. Keys are encrypted locally with Windows DPAPI / Electron safeStorage, never uploaded, never logged, and never placed in agent prompts.
Which operating systems are supported?
Windows 10/11 and macOS are now supported.
Does voice dictation require an internet connection?
V1 uses online transcription and reuses your OpenAI key by default, so it needs connectivity. Local Whisper is planned as an offline option later.
Will combat automation replace the DM's judgment?
No. Agents only execute actions you confirm. Rules interpretation, positioning, templates, and exceptions remain the DM's call. partial / indeterminate results are never retried automatically.
