Product roadmap
The public plan from the first technical spike to the official desktop app release.
Phase 0: License & technical spike
Confirm content distribution inventory; Electron launches the Foundry Node build; standalone Foundry BrowserWindow; backgroundThrottling validation; minimal Bridge and one controlled combat action.
Phase 1: Shared core & transport
arcane-fvtt-core abstraction; CdpTransport and BridgeTransport coexist; Turn Protocol v2 schema extraction; CLI becomes a core adapter so the normal path no longer sends the full runtime.
Phase 2: Profile & distribution
Server/profile manager; Foundry acquisition and import; signed catalog; backup/update/rollback; doctor and diagnostic bundle; reproducible 13.351/dnd5e 5.3.3 profile.
Phase 3: Pi Agent & skill bundle
Pi AgentSession host; custom tool registry; maintenance/combat/content allowlists; approval UI; skills decoupled from CLI/CDP/repo paths.
Phase 4: GUI & voice V1
Setup wizard; main window and Foundry window; tool timeline/approval/receipt; Composer; Codex-style voice dictation; OpenAI key reuse.
Phase 5: Beta & public release
Windows code signing; auto updater; stable/beta channels; crash recovery and opt-in telemetry; install, migration, and rollback docs; content/license audit; support diagnostics.
Estimated timeline: internal Alpha ~4 weeks, usable Beta ~7–9 weeks, public release ~10–14 weeks.
